"I should like to mention Chinese Sub-Inspector Fong Yik Fai for the good work he did in the Gloucester Building arranging food for the two Chinese Contingents. Le carried out instructions very well and in addi- tion by initiative and energy man- aged to feed the men satisfactorily. ile obtained utensils and bowls from various restaurants and managed to have fires provided on the same premises, thereby solving the diffi- cult problem under the circumstances of cooking the food."
December 8th to 13th. "Courageous & excellent work was done by L. S. A154 Harris and the Indians stationed under him at Green Island. Neither L. S. A154 Harris nor I can, unfor- tunately, recollect the numbers or names of the Indians."

"I should also like to mention the good work done by L. S. A184 Fyffe & L. S. Al75 Jack during hostilities whilst we were in Kowloon, They turned out at all hours of the day & night. They were also in charge of piquets controlling crowds at the Star Ferry and did their work very well. L. S. A175 Jack showed determin- ation and courage in going to Tsun Wan with a Chinese Sub-Inspector and returning alone."
